Dr. Stephanie Duer, Ed.D., LPC-S

Dr. Stephanie Duer is a seasoned mental health professional, educator, and speaker with a career dedicated to bridging the gap between mental health and education. Her experience spans community mental health, residential treatment, schools for adjudicated youth, and public education, giving her a unique perspective on how trauma impacts learning and behavior.

A Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, and Certified School Counselor, Dr. Duer earned her Doctorate in Executive Leadership in Mental Health and Human Services from Houston Christian University. She is also a certified trainer in Youth Mental Health First Aid, Psychological First Aid, and Trauma-Sensitive Schools, and co-authored “Trauma-Informed Care in Education” for the Eduhero online learning platform.

Dr. Duer has spoken to thousands of educators, advocates, and law enforcement professionals across the country, delivering powerful keynotes that blend real-world experience, research-based insight, and practical strategies for creating lasting systemic change.

Beyond her professional roles, Dr. Duer is a proud law enforcement wife and devoted mother of two teens. Together with her husband, she frequently presents on mental health and wellness within the law enforcement community, bringing both professional expertise and personal perspective to her work.
