Privacy Policy
How we handle information on drduer.com
Effective October 15, 2026
Dr. Duer Speaking & Consulting, LLC (“we,” “us”) runs www.drduer.com. This policy explains what information we collect on this website, how we use it and the choices you have. It covers the website only. It does not cover counseling services, which are explained under “Counseling and health information” below.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a form on this site, we collect what you enter. Depending on the form, that may include:
• Speaking, workshop or consulting requests: name, email, phone, organization, event date, location, audience and topic details.
• Counseling availability requests: name, email, preferred phone number, insurance or self-pay, preferred time of day, and telehealth or in-person preference.
• Book and shop orders: name, email, shipping address and order details.
• Emails or messages you send us directly.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this site records basic visit data: your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit. This data helps us see how the site is used. It is not used to identify you.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Wix Payments and its partners (such as card networks, Apple Pay and PayPal). We do not see or store your full card number.
Counseling and health information
Please do not share health or medical details through this website’s forms or email. Our forms are for scheduling and contact information only. Website forms and email are not secure, HIPAA-compliant channels. Contacting us through this site does not make you a counseling client. If you become a counseling client, your health information is protected under federal privacy law (HIPAA). It is described in a separate Notice of Privacy Practices that you receive when you begin counseling.
This website is not for emergencies. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or call 911.
How we use your information
• To answer your request and schedule speaking, training, consulting or counseling consultations.
• To process and ship orders, and send order confirmations.
• To keep the site secure and working, and to understand which pages are useful.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for other companies’ advertising.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help run this site and business, and only as needed for that work:
• Wix, which hosts this website, its forms and its store.
• Wix Payments and its payment partners, which process payments.
• Shipping carriers, for book orders.
We may also share information if required by law, or to protect the safety of a person or the security of the site.
Cookies
This site uses cookies, small files stored by your browser, to keep it working (for example, your shopping cart) and to measure visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some site features may not work without them.
Do Not Track. Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common standard for responding to it, so this site does not change how it works when it receives one. This site does not use third-party advertising trackers, and we do not allow other companies to follow your activity across websites through it.
Links to other sites
This site links to other websites, including Amazon, Lulu, our merchandise shop, podcast platforms and social media. Those sites have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.
How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it, or as required for tax, accounting or legal reasons. After that, we delete it.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and our providers use industry-standard security. No website or email is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information through it.
Children
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it. Counseling for a minor is arranged by a parent or guardian.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you emails. Email us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
Client rights
Counseling clients have specific rights under Texas law, including access to records and how to file a complaint. See our Client Rights Notice.
